Project Profile
This road widening project necessitated construction of two retaining walls that were adjacent to private residences. It was a great example of how QCI’s versatile services can help in complex situations.
This project consisted of the widening of Riverdale Drive to two lanes for approximately 245 linear feet. To widen the road, two retaining walls along the northern and southern sides of Riverdale Drive had to be constructed. Both of the retaining walls consisted of auger-cast drilled soldier pile assemblies with precast lagging panels and fencing. The walls are located immediately adjacent to private residences.
